Meet the Owner

Jo Ireland CPA/PFS, CFP®, MBA

A Certified Public Accountant and Personal Financial Specialist (CPA/PFS) and a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) she is well versed in both individual and business taxation and is ready to help you with all your tax needs now and throughout the year.

Jo has been a Professor of Accounting and Taxation at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, so she is experienced in teaching difficult concepts in a way that non-accountants can understand.

"I feel like clients want to UNDERSTAND their taxes and want to learn how to pay the LEAST amount possible within the law. I explain it in language the client understands so it's not so scary."

Jo earned her Bachelor of Arts from Baldwin-Wallace College (Berea, Ohio) and her Master of Business Administration from the University of Akron (Akron, Ohio). After teaching at Cleveland State University for several years she decided that she needed to escape the snow and looked for positions in a warmer climate.

People say 'how can you live in Texas, it's so hot in the summer?', and I say, it might be hot, but you don’t have to shovel sunshine!

In addition to teaching, Jo has been a Tax Manager at a regional CPA firm where she served business and individuals, bringing years of experience to the table. She is a member of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants and the AICPA. Locally, the firm is a member of the Hutto and Taylor Chambers of Commerce and supports Hutto High School football. Jo is also a member of the Lions Club International and a volunteer with the United Way.

Jo's unique sense of humor makes tax time a more like a welcome visit with an old friend, taking the edge off the worry and factoring in a little bit of fun. In her free time loves travelling and camping in her RV and checking out all the amazing things Texas has to offer. She has travelled extensively, both in and out of the U.S., and Jo says that her all-time favorite was a trip to the Galapagos Islands, off the coast of the country of Ecuador where she had been an exchange student many years before.
